After todays snowmobiling trip to VT I am looking forward to the open water even more. Scott, Tommy and I went up to VT riding this morning and found more snow than we wanted after pulling and yanking our sleds through 5 feet of heavy wet snow we are beat. I must admit the fun stopped five minutes after the second sled got stuck 20 feet after we dug it out. We came across a trail that was not groomed but was the only way back with out going in the opposite direction for another 80 miles. This is where the fun stopped!. We all made it back to the truck safe and sound. If it was not for a team effort we would of had to burn Tommys Artic Cat to stayp warm. We now all need new belts carbides and a 22 year old back, because all of ours are shot! COME ON SPRING SO I CAN PUT THE SLED BACK IN THE BARN AND PULL OUT THE BOAT MY BACK CAN NOT TAKE ANY MORE OF THESE RIDES!

I stopped @ Congamond to pass out some more flea market flyer's and noticed the ice is staring to melt. I did talk with a few of the ice fishermen and they stated they bite was good with many bass still being caught. I went over to the south ramp and they will need a plank soon to get onto the ice. The ice is about 2 feet away from shore. I believe with this warm trend it will start to break up soon. With the crazy weather I have placed the auger upstairs and hooked up the snowmobile trailer. A group of us will be heading to VT in the a.m. to take advantage of the 3-4 feet of snow they received. I believe this will be a blessing for the spring runoff that we will need come spring time. I have been told prior to this storm a good portion of VT did not have much or any snow on the ground. As many of us know we rely on this to fill the CT river. Soon I will be making the call to pull the ASX out of moth balls to start the spring prep.

Come on Spring!!!!!
