I went to the Hartford boat show Friday night with my family and friends we had a great time.  We managed to run into a few old friends selling @ the show.  What surprized me the most was to see only a handful of fishing boats.  I thought the show was very tasteful but there defently seemed to have more Ski boats than pleasure or fishing boats.  I must say they seemed to be a better value than the Bass Boats we came across.  One of our local dealers had a Skeeter @ the show for over 60K!!!! (No this boat did not come with the gold plated trailer).  With Bass Boats costing this much it is becoming a extremely rich or poor sport?.  I understand not everyone needs to look likeBill Dance and Vandam when trying to catch a keeper bass but it would be nice to start to see some 20 ft bass boats under 50K with all the goodies.  I think with this economy it may be hard explaining to your spouse that you dropped this much coin on a boat to fish out of. Most of us that spend time on the water still practice Catch and release.  If prices keep going the way they are I may have start keeping a few kippers lol.
