I believe it does not make a diffence in the power 101# of thrust is 101# of thrust @ 100% charged battery, but what I do know is I can fish a 8 hour tournament and still have batt juice in reserve after running  color gps and livewells all day I am running gelcell 27 series battery for all operations starting and trolling motor, I am running cabelas brand and think they hold up o.k. I purchased them after searching online to find the batt with most cca (cold cranking amps) and reserve ratings, I believe the key to battery sucess is to charge them as soon as you are done fishing and also watch the batt fluid levels if do not purchase the maintance free versions
