I noticedin the paper a few weeks back the CRC was planning another weed spraying @ the lake. I was wondering if they have completed this yet? I personally would love to see this happen prior to the spawn ( I am told would not control the weeds due to lack of growth) or to wait until mid July. I think if they waited it would help the fish population due to them having a chance to recoup after the long hard spawn. I understand the last time they did there spring spraying the experts (Boat ramp attendant) assured us concerned fishermen and lake users the truck loads of dead fish on the shore lines had nothing to do with the weed killing chemicals. I hope it was a coincidence as I feel this is the best producing Hardest fished lake in Ma, maybe even the Northeast for its size.  I understand many lake residents would love to have clear water the likes of Lake Winni in there back yards but there must be a happy medium.
