I wanted to Congratulate a few local fishermen for placing @ the ABA Tournament 8/809-8/9/09 on Quabog Pond  

Sean Lloyd for smashing them and taking fist place 9# on Sat and 18.5# with 5 fish on Sunday   SurprisedSurprisedSurprisedSurprisedSurprisedSurprisedSurprisedSurprised 

Lee Hannah for taking third place overall not sure of actual weight but heard he had a decent bag also

That is 18 plus pounds for Sunday alone 5 fish not 8, Sean was able to keep his confidence with a few locations to bring in some serious weight keep in mind this is a singles event it would be a great day with two tournament anglers weighing these in but for one very jacked (lol) angler to weigh it in is very very impressive!!!!! the only thing I could add is he must be very good @ picking some productive spots on this lake and othersWink way to go SeanLaugh

Chris, I have to admit I practiced with Dave for the Quabuag tournament. However the fish were eatin real good that day, by the time he gave me the map back with his favorite spots circled the whole lake was covered with pen marks! Day one the fish were not cooperating at all. Day 2 I had to make a decision, stay with what Dave and I practiced( strokin a Omega jig in deeper defined weed edges) or changing up and going shallow into the flooded brush like most everyone else. I thank Dave for the pep talk at 5a.m. telling me not to give up on that area and technique. I stuck with it and all of the sudden the fish simply started eating that jig again. Thanks Dave.
