I seem to  have the most success usinga Spro Frog. I think it is a big fish lure that will take many misses prior to mastering this challenging tool. I have used this tool for a few years and will not go out onto the water without one tied on. Keep in mind this may only produce a few explosions but if you have the correct equipment to land the fish it will be worth it. I purchased a G loomis Frogger rod just to throw this bait and it is well worth the cost. If you decide to fish this lure you will need so stiff tough tackle to back this. I try to rig the rod with a medium ratio 5.8/6.2 (to fast retrive ratio and you will lose the muscle needed) - quality bait caster reel and 50 # test braid line. When you get the chance to land a quality fish in the heaviest muck you ever fished you will need thistough tackle. As I stated earlier you may not want to replace your favorite fish ketching tool but it would be a great lure to practice with until you receive the confidence needed to pull the large one out on tournament day.
