I am thinking of upgrading my standard motor toter (it now attaches from the motor leg to the trailer) to the new stlye that pinches in between the motor mount and the jack piston any one have info that they could share on the new models likes and dislikes

     Dave,

Try looking into Swivle-Eze Lock 'n Stow for a newer style of transom saver. I have one for my Merc and love it. They make a newer style for Evinrude also. Bass Pro Shops carries it.
