Tackle Purchase Question????

I was wondering if everyone is having a tough time trying to find specific tackle. I recently planned a trip to Lake Champlain and wanted to purchase a few Top water baits for the trip. I went to my local tackle shop first, then the chain store same night no luck. The next morning I placed a order with the local tackle shop on line, I thought I was all set. The night before my trip I received my package in which I paid extra for 2 day shipping only to find out that the one style of lure I wanted was Back Ordered!!!. I may be expecting a little much here but I would of thought that a e-mail or call was in order. looking for opinions on where to purchase my tackle from now on. I think that Dealers that sell over the intranet would have their sites set up that if a item is not in stock it does not accept the order and charge you only to find your slip crossed out with a credit and half of your expected items not in the box that you paid extra to receive. I am looking for recommendations to sites that will not accept payments for items they do not have. ( not to mention the order only started out to be 20-30 bucks but once on their site I dropped 175.00 because they had everything I needed for my trip and to top off a few items, I ended up with a 150 worth of stuff that was not a priority)SurprisedYellCry

 All info is appreciated

Thanks

Dave

Make sure you check out the "tackle" section in the Bait Shop! Laugh

I purchase 95% of all my tackle, rods, reels etc. from Tackle Warehouse. You can't beat their prices anywhere. They have great sales from time to time also. Their web site is set up to tell you how much of each item is actually in stock. This is a live count so you will know they have what you want. I just placed two orders their within the last couple days. I ordered two Revo STX's that retail for $199.00, I got them for $119.00 after a $20.00 rebate. Even without the rebate $139.00 is a fantastic price for that reel. When they notify you your order shipped via email they will also tell you if anything was back ordered. This would usually only be a problem if for example you wanted to order your top water bait and the count in stock was 5+. You place an order for 8. But they really only have 7. They will place the last one on back order and tell you when it will be in. If they are out of an item, it will tell you when they will be receiving more. They also have free ground shipping on orders over $50.00. If you need that order faster they offer two day at $5.00 and one day at just $10.00!!! That's a huge shipping savings. Truly the best site to order anything for fishing hands down!
