Thanks to Chris Martins for forwarding this info….Please be aware of floating and submerged debris at Bartons Cove Section.
Thanks

Please make everyone in your group aware that there is floating debris in the river. Some of this debris is hazardous ie: propane tanks, floating logs. Docks, and just about everything else.

There is an ongoing effort to remove this debris from the river please keep  your boats  away from any workers and or equipment that is being used to remove the debris from the river.

We hope this process will be completed over the next couple of weeks.

If you have any questions please contact me. Thanks.

I was able to check out Bartons first hand today along with my friend Art. The river was dirty and fast. I was able to check a few lower spots on the river using caution. The height was ok but it seemed to be rising during the day. If you decide to run the river be very cautious and remeber to wear your PFD.
