• I was able to get out with Sean for a few hours today. We started at noon and landed our first prizes around 12:18 both Sean and picked 2 nice Perch. Sean landed one on a straight worm and mine bit a full size 7/8 jig. Both of them measured over 12 inches and the jig perch was 1.5 pounds. The next bite was a little longer of a wait but worth it as it was the correct model lol this one bit a silver buddy shallow around 4 ft. The next Bass was caught using my 7/8 perch jig… and then sean landed a small slime dart on his perch jig. The last fish was a smaller perch that hit the same 7/8 perch jig. In total we landed 4 perch 2 decent Bass and 1 slime dart, also a few long line releases…not a bad day for 4.5 hours in December.

I agree…. I am amazed at this weather as i only remember fishing this late once before and we had to cut the ice with my 16 ft alum boat to get back into the oxbow.. we also had to rip circles to get a area big enough to cast lol

I am going to keep the boat in the garage until the ice comes.. replace a section of carpet get it to lay down by sliming it then repeat the process… happy holidays Tim
