Heading up to Lake Champlain to do some Junk Fishing

We will be leaving home @ 2:30 a.m. Friday Morning - hopefully arriving by 6:00 a.m.

if everything goes as planned we should be in the junk (Heavy Weeds) by 6:30 a.m. catching some nice large mouth.

Both John and I love to fish this stuff and usually can not get enough of it. I feel it is the most exciting way to catch large mouth, for the most part we will be throwing Jigs, Top water, and a good follow up bait that is unless condition dictate differently.

I will try and take a some pics of some great NY/VT Champlain Largemouth 

Tight Lines and have a great safe 4Th

Just returned home from fishing Lake Champlain

Fishing in the a.m. was a little slow for us until we started to drown some creature type lures on the outer weed edge, top water was off in the a.m., we pulled around a dozen nice large mouth up until

9:30 a.m. then we started trying other areas in search of a better top water weed bite. We ended up going to around seven spots by the time we left, the bite ended up getting better for us after noon time with many largemouth in the 4 pound range and 1 pushing 5.5 in total we caught over 40 keepers and this is a slower day on the lake. This place never stops amazing me if for any reason the fish are off in one location just move and next spot they will crush just about anything you like throwing. We started our day around 6:15 a.m. and had to force our self to get off the water @ 7:17 p.m. this goes to show if you are truly having a decent day time flies.
