Well let me start by saying hello. My name is Jim and I am from Chicopee. I found the swap meet ad on craigslist yesterday and took the G/F and kid. We had a great time and meet some really nice people.

We bought Gino (son) his 1st tackel box at the show today he was sooo excited! It was only 5 bucks and had a few goodies in it. Then the nice man who sold us the box gave him a spinning rod for free, then he handed me a really nice reel to go with it. I was quite taken by his kindness. I handed him a 5 spot and thanked him repatedly. The rod was old so we went to Kmart and I got him a nice 5' 6″ Shakespire spinnig rod for the new reel. I cant wait to teach him how to use it.

Back when I was a teen (now36) my best friends grandfather used to take us on the boat almost every weekend. We would alwayls go to the Swift River in Bondsville Ma to Trout fish.

As time grew on my friend moved away and I got into other things (like trouble) J/K. No  not really I got heavily into antique cars.

Then 2 years ago I meet my current G/F who liked to fish but had not been in many years. Last year we got our linceses, I bought a 14ft Starcraft with a 20hp Mariner and returend to the Swift River boy did it bring back some good memories.

I am looking foward to a full year of fishing and making great memories.

This is a great site run by a very nice group of people. we look forward to hearing about your fishing adventures! the ice is finally gone and the long seemingly forever wait is now over the boat is out and this weekend is game on!
