I have a 20 year old Johnson 150 outboard that could use a little more than a tune-up. The 20 year old boat the motor is attached to fits me just fine at this period in my life. (broke period)  It makes no sense to me at this time (broke time) to replace this paid off beauty for a boat with a payment. I'm looking to get the motor rebuilt over this winter. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I know you may be attached to that beauty of a rig, but keep in mind the cost for you to rebuild that perfectly good running motor you may want to look @ some of the deals here and places like e-bay for a replacement rig or a replacement motor for it, some of our mutual bass buddies have had their ex 200 hp motors rebuilt to the tune of 4k? (this was a few years back) and this was a great price @ the time for a complete rebuild, bore,honed crank reground, rods, pistons, balanced ,gaskets etc for the exact work and location give Art L a call he may still be able to get in touch with the shop who specialized in out board rebuilds my 2c
