I found out some info when I placed a call to my club the Polish Club in Agawam. They are not accepting rentals from the large hall in the months of March or April. I was told the dates were not solid for the repairs and they are waiting for quotes from the contractor and a confirmed schedule. So with this news is it worth finding a different location and or moving the date or scrap it all together? looking for your opinion….

Hi Dave,

 

     I'm of the opinion that you should move the date anyway. I think May is a better month to have it because it's warmer making it a more comfortable event, people are really thinking about getting outside in May and you could add additional tables in the area in front of the hall. You may get a few people that can't make it because of a tournament, but I think you will get more people total to come in May. Just something to think about.

I have to agree w/ the above statement, especially if the weather co – operates, outside would be fun, more room  and the outside people usually have a canopy they can set up.

 

I did a couple of shows last year like that and it was worth it. Plus more people can see it from the road as well. May would be nice about 2 weeks from the Memorial Day weekend, people alwaus look forward to the unofficial start of summer.
