John P was kind enough to take me out in the Berkshire fishing today. We boated 2 decent fish both fell victim to a jig and pig in weeds around 6 feet of water. We both missed a couple of others fishing the same pattern. We also tried a few different lures with out success, jerkbaits ,rattletrps ,spinnebaits. And just to tick John off I made a bunch of cast with my frog! I must admit I felt kind of foolish as the north end of the lake the frog was skimming on a thin layer of ice for aprox 30 feet before it made a splash. Either way it was worth a try as the place still had green Lilly pads and weeds in a few sections.
