Fished from 7:30-12:30 temps 45-48.5 depending on location

Fish 1 small Bass , and Gator picked up 1 small pick

Very slow day for us and most others, tried shallow, deep, points, north pond early a.m. water temp are quickly on the rise it will be long before pre spawn kicks in and the bite.

The good part of today was having the chance to spend some time with a few friends and enjoying a ton of laughs.

Thanks

Dave

Sounds like you do alot of fishing on congamond.. any ideas. my 11 year old wants to do more fishing there…We just started Bass fishing a few years back.. we were there this past weekend we caught a few small bass.. nothing like summer and fall…And yes all our fish go back into the water…Any help would be nice considering if he doesn't catch a fish it makes for a long day…Some times he almost goes swimming by my hand.. Thank you

I like to set my daughter up with a wacky rig senko, and or small tube/grub. This time of the year it is tough for any young anglers. I would concentrate in North pond until the water warms into the 50's, then you could explore the shores of all 3 ponds. After the water hits the 50's set them up with a small suspending jerk bait and start hitting any shore line. I like the shore lines that have a harder bottom aka spawning grounds. Many shore lines will not have fish first thing in the a.m. then after 11 many will push up due to the water warming. Cong. will many fish that are able to be caught in the next few weeks. I have and continue to bring my kids out when they want but to help pass the slow times when we are still hunting and not catching I bring food and drinks! It seems to help so we do not leave after 2 hours. I hope this helps and feel free to call if I missed anything
