I would have to say, that Spring is my favorite time to go fishing. After being cooped up all Winter, the first warm days, even if not ideal, i grab my pole and head for the nearest, creek or lake.

Since i also keep native fishes in aquariums at home, the water in the creeks has to get down a little before i can start my seining, so i will usually, just hit a few spots that i know i can catch some smaller fish for my tanks.

I also dip gambusia, from a local lake that has stocked those for mosquito control, as they make great feeders for my Gar and Bowfin.
