Hampton Ponds Fishing Derby #2 Wednesday June 16, 2010 starting at 6 PM. Non fishing paddlers/children/friends encouraged to come. This is our second fishing derby the first one was won by yours truly with 20 pumpkin seed in 2 hours. Folks there are no rules or prizes so this is just a fun mid week get away from life’s stresses.  Around 8:15 PM we can meet back at the boat ramp and go grab a snack at a local place. Meet at the boat ramp off Rte 202.  Again everybody is responsible for themselves, not that I won’t help you load your boat, but if you get lost I won’t head up the search party. If you catch a fish take a photo and we will compare at the end of the event who the winner is. Folks might want to bring some bug spray. Show caution to power boats on this lake, they move quickly and come out of nowhere. I suggest staying to the side and still act like an owl with your eyes. I am hoping a week night will be a quiet time. Event is weather permitting, if it is cold and rainy we will postpone. Hope you all can come. Row boats, canoes, paddle boats all welcome, sorry no motors not even electric. Tom D.
