Guys
We have all the dates picked for 2011. All of the Mass permits have been approved.  We still need to apply for the New Hampshire permits for the Barton's cove section.  I will send that paperwork in soon.  We have added a new body of water to the schedule for 2011.  Some of you have asked about going into the Berkshires so we are going to try Onota.

We have a few changes to the trail for 2011.

1. We will pay out money to the top 3 teams in the end of the year points standings.  We will guarantee at least 500.00 for 1st place.

2. The 2 day finals will count for points for the angler of the year title. This event will be worth 50% more points.

3. We will count 5 of 6 events for the points for every team (drop worst finish)

4. We are thinking of changing the 5 fish limit to a 6 fish limit, but we would like to hear from all of you on the change first.

2011 Schedule
April 9Th Congamond  (Ice out event)
May 21 Oxbow (rte 5 Launch)
June 4Th Onota
July 30Th Bartons Cove  (NH?)
August 13 Quaboag
September 24Th Oxbow (Brunelle's Marina)

Finals
October 8Th Onota
October 9Th Bartons Cove (NH?)

Our thoughts for the early event at Congamond is that it had always been a good event that attracted a lot of boats.  We thought it would be a great way to showcase our trail and also a great way to raise money for the year end awards. We have a permit for 40 boats, if we fill that permit we will have 1200.00 in the bank after only one tournament.

Please let us know your thoughts on the trail, the rule changes and anything you think could make the trail better.  We really want 2011 to be a great year.

Below is the 2011 Shootout Series schedule.   All of the permits have been approved.  These are open tournaments.  Teams can fish one or all of the events.   We will be taking pre registrations for the first event at Congamond.  We think this is going to be a great event and may need to have an EPO officer on hand.  We have a permit for 40 boats.  We will be having a special boat position draw for all teams that register before March 25th.   If we have less than 25 boats by March 25th we will limit the event to 25. Over 25 we will order the EPO.  If you plan on fishing consider registering early.  We don’t want to turn teams away at the ramp.  Please contact me for a registration form.  ctrivershootout@yahoo.com

Dave,

I think it sucks……. j/k! Sounds like a good trail, wish I could fish the whole thing but several dates conflict with what I'm doing already. Might fish the Congamond Event though, if my partner will stop sunning his arse down south long enough to come fish with me!
